Lali Gonzalez first big hit was as a character named “LIZ” in the film “7 Cajas” (7 Boxes). This Paraguayan hit won the "Films in Progress" award in the 2011 San Sebastian International Film Festival. “7 Cajas” was also nominated in the "Discovery" category of 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and in the “best Iberoamerican movie” in the GOYA Awards 2013. Lali’s leading role in the film was the highlight of her first steps as an actress and paved the way to her international recognition as a star.
Graciela Belén González Mendoza was born on December 27, 1986, in Asuncion, Paraguay. As an actress she performs in films, theatre and television. Lali performed the leading role in the award winning film 7 Cajas (7 Boxes).
Following her successful debut, Lali filmed in 2012 the role of Irma in the movie "Lectura según Justino", directed by Arnaldo André; this film is a Paraguayan-Argentine co-production, released in May 2013.
In February 2013, Lali Gonzalez was called by the Chilean Director Luis Vera to be part of the prestigious cast of the movie “Mangore” to be filmed in 2014.
She participated in multiple film festivals during the years 2012 and 2013 representing Paraguay with the film 7 Cajas (7 Boxes).
In Paraguay, she is the face of multiple beauty products and brands.
Lali is also the Paraguayan ambassador of the NGO, Aldeas SOS.
The actress took acting classes in El Estudio, a Centre for Theatre Research and Outreach, from which she graduated in 2010. She is qualified to practice law in Paraguay; Lali received her law degree from the Catholic University of Asuncion Law School.
In October 2013 she was called by the Argentinean Director Daniel Gagliano to participate in an Argentinean feature film called “La otra orila” (The other Shore), which was filmed in the Argentinean city of Misiones.
In November 2013, she is getting ready to participate in “Fabula de una Conspiracion” (Tale of a Conspiracy), a Colombian feature film, to be shot in the city of Cali, Colombia.
